Thank you for your interest in St. Louis Officials Association.
St. Louis Officials Association was founded in 1940 with 26 members.
The purpose of the organization, as stated in the first constitution
and by-laws, is to improve officiating in the greater St. Louis
area by organized study of the rules of football by the members
along with rules interpretation and the officiating mechanics of
the game. In 1969 Basketball Officials were added to the membership
and the name changed from St. Louis Football Official’s Association
to the current name. In March 2003, Volleyball Officials were
added to the membership of the association.
Attending SLOA meetings will allow you the opportunity to be a
part of group discussions on new rule changes and mechanics for
the upcoming season. It also gives you the opportunity to network
with veteran officials to gain knowledge from their experience.
Although we are not an assigning association, you will receive game
assignments from assignors throughout the St. Louis metropolitan
area. Our rosters are distributed to area assignors.
The first year SLOA annual dues for new applicants are
$10 (one sport) or $15 (two sports) application fee.
SLOA dues are in addition to the dues paid to Missouri State High
School Activities Association.
